A distinguished panel of inter-generational and inter-cultural faith leaders will address and unpack the CSW priority theme: Innovation and technological change, and education in the digital age for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls. Speakers will explore the themes of accessibility, education in the digital age, and the human rights, safety and security of women and girls.

This panel will showcase why it is important to harness the potential of technology and innovation to improve women’s and girls’ lives and the digital divide, including the gender digital divide, as well as address the risks and challenges emerging from the use of technologies including sexual harassment and exploitation.

The panel will give examples of faith community’s work on education and share tools and practical ways of countering sexual and gender-based violence against women and girls in the digital age.

Reaching for the STARS: Safeguarding the Creativity, Security and Safety of our Girls -  Parallel Event

Join us in person in the CCUN chapel at 2pm (New York) or on zoom at 4:30am (New York) for our second parallel event together with the World Council of Churches and AfriAus Ileac.

Technology can be used to achieve dreams. Through Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, our girls can dream digitally, tapping into their creativity, thus realizing their potential. This conversation highlights girls who are reaching for the STARS (Science, Technology and the Arts, Realizing Success), toward a just, inclusive and sustainable future.

Hear them share ways on safeguarding mental health and well-being, harnessing sign Language for inclusive communication. Hear their aspirations for a future where they are valued for their creative and technical skills, and not disadvantaged because of their gender. These Girls are on FIRE for an inclusive tomorrow!

As CSW67 attendees it is up to us to tell of our experiences. Share your reflections, prayers, and/or photos with your delegation and Ecumenical Women.
